Code of Conduct with regards to organic Farming

1. Organic Farming provides platform for academic growth and professional development to students.
2. The students will be given opportunity to work in farm to gain experience from cultivation to product delivery and will understand the problems faced by farmer.
3. The Students will learn importance of team work and planning while working in farm.
4. Developing technical solution for farmer’s problem will develop them to grow professionally.
5. Students will understand organization structure of any committee and way of communication which will enhance their business and ethics communication skills.
6. Students will promote Organic farming practices among farmer to provide pest free product to society.


STRATEGIES

Organic Farming shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for:
1. To organize guest lecture, hands on session, seminar workshop to upgrade students’ knowledge.
2. To organize curriculum development programs for staff as well as students.
3. To promote research related activities.
4. To plan Industrial visit to explore practical application of technical subjects in curriculum.


FUNCTIONS

1.To provide access to opportunity, education and equipment for farmer for efficient and sustainable growth
2. To provide collaborative research opportunities for interdisciplinary projects.
3. To help farmers in the use of technology to improve productivity
4. To support organic farming practices
5. To provide Opportunities for BE Project
6. To Find solutions for Farmer’s Real World problems
7. To Recycling dry biomass and Canteen waste into Organic manure


BENIFITS

1. Students can participate in various competition like EYIC, Smart India Hackathon
2. Student can participate Mumbai University project competition “Avishkar” as it have special category for Agricultural projects
3. Students will able to apply practical knowledge while developing solutions for problem.
4. Students will gain hands on experience in farm. They will understand the process of producing food from farm which will increase awareness about “Wastage of Food”
5. Students will implement organic practices in farm which will provide pest free product to society
